The Punisher
The Punisher is a 2004 American comic book action film, based on the Marvel Comics character and starring Thomas Jane. The movie features gratuitous violence, fight scenes and fast paced gunslinging duels.

An undercover agent involved in a sting operation is targeted by a a ruthless criminal, Howard Saint, and his associates after the crime lord’s son is killed in the sting. His whole family is brutally slaughtered before his eyes, and despite being shot, stabbed, beaten and blown up he survives.
After a period of recovery, Frank sets out to wage a one man war against all those who have done wrong:
“In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law. To pursue… natural justice. This is not vengeance. Revenge is not a valid motive, it’s an emotional response. No, not vengeance. Punishment.”
