Robocop is a science fiction film set in a futuristic, crime ridden Detroit. After being brutally slaughtered on his first day in a new district, murphy is brought back as a cyborg crime fighter for omnicorp.
A score of shotgun slugs decimates murphy’s arm, shoulder and nearly all of his combat vest; then a crime lord leader puts a round through the right hemisphere of his brain. Although his brain is somehow clinging to life, murphy is declared dead by the doctors. Then we see scattered clips of computer program booting up and scientists working on what appears to be a mechanized body. They mention blanking his memory at one point.
Robocop trashes bad guys for the rest of the movie before a fairly tame showdown with the Omnicorp Vice President’s robot, ED-209. It falls down a staircase emitting high-pitched squeals like a baby raptor. Then Robocop is shot to pieces by the entire police force who are really working for Omnicorp. He escapes and remembers who he is, kills the crime boss (also working for Omnicorp’s VP) and heads back to Omnicorp headquarters with evidence against the VP.
The president of Omnicorp is taken at gun point because Robocop’s Directive 4 won’t allow him to target a superior in the company. The president then fires the VP and Robocop blasts him out a window.
