Devil
Devil is supernatural horror film centered around a group of individuals who are trapped in an express elevator with the Devil is their midst.
SPOILERS
Detective Bowden of the Philadelphia Police, still grieving over his wife and son who were killed in a hit-and-run, is sent to investigate a suicide who jumped from a skyscraper. Meanwhile, five strangers become trapped in an elevator in the very same building where the jumper committed suicide.
The five trapped people can be seen via CCTV as events unfold, but are unable to communicate as the intercom is broken and only works one way. Tensions run high as they remain trapped, dangling 20 stories up, suspended over nothing.
The security guards call the police after one woman is mysteriously injured, supposedly by another elevator passenger, and Detective Bowden assumes the case. Being able to contact the individuals, he tries to work out who they are by reviewing the surveillance footage, but he is unable to account for one of them.
Events become more ominous, taking a turn to the unexplained and supernatural. Bowden realizes time is running out for the occupants of the elevator and he tries to get them out before a mysterious dark force claims them all.
Pretty entertaining and suspenseful film (less jarring/shockingly scary and more ominous/suspense building) with an unexpected twist that ties the characters together nicely. Worth a watch.
