There is a particular bridge in Durham, NC is ever so slightly lower than your average bridge. The result is an extraordinary amount of trucks which get a close shave as they attempt to pass under the railroad trestle.

One man set out to capture the routine destruction of box trucks and other oversized vehicles as they slam into the bottom of the bridge at Peabody and Gregson streets, west of downtown Durham.

Inexperienced drivers seem oblivious to the warning signs and flashing “overheight” warning lights. Ultimately, the railroad company installed a crash beam in front of it, which protects the tracks from damage… though the trucks, not so much.
