Education

Devon Prep
Devon Prep
I attended Devon Preparatory School from 2002 – 2006. I played on both the soccer and tennis teams and was an editor of the 2006 yearbook.
I also organized and ran an underground organization known as DP Studios. It was a website / forum for his friends and classmates where they would share jokes about the teachers, videos of their ridiculous antics in-between (and sometimes during) class, post about a myriad of events during our senior year and occasionally broach some slightly serious topics. I wrote the site using his self-taught, rudimentary skills in HTML and used free services such as phpBB, and shot and edited all my own video with the support of my classmates and their raucous shenanigans.

Elon University
Elon University
After graduating from Devon Prep in 2006 as a member of the National Honor Society I attended Elon University from 2006 – 2010. I originally majored in Communications but switched it to a minor after sophomore year when I decided to pursue my passions and get my major in Art with a concentration in digital media.
I received the Johnston Scholarship from the Elon University Art Department in my Junior Year. I was also involved in Student Government as the Arts and Humanities representative and was a member of a student run organization for the arts called Art Guild. I worked several on-campus jobs during my undergraduate career including graphic designer for Creative Resolutions, graphic designer for research assistance and as a consultant for the art department’s digital studios.
Digital Art Origins
I began working with digital media as a hobby during my high school years, teaching himself basic HTML and using free services and hosting for the very first DP Studios website.
I created & implemented an online community for my classmates to share our ridiculousness antics primarily through videos. Prior to YouTube’s existence this site quickly expanded to include a php login and forum with the help of another classmate of mine.
The project, known as DP Studios, was my first experience in working with audio/video editing and digital media manipulation. I maintained the website and forum for over a year. At the time, I was entirely self-taught at the time learning through many failed attempts and countless online tutorials.
Since DP Studios I have been hooked on digital art and digital manipulation. The endless possibilities of media manipulation and especially via the web enthrall me. I have a strong passion for technology and have built several computers for friends and various clients. I have also spent countless hours fulfilling the role of ‘tech support’ for my family.
Digital Art is my main outlet for creativity. My mind is a perpetual hive of activity and thrives in problem solving, be it an advertisement, t-shirt graphic or interactive web experience.
